Our Story

Neil Hamburg began his career in the litigation department of the large law firm of Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll. He then worked in house at the University of Pennsylvania, personally handling a diverse variety of litigation matters, including employment litigation, academic freedom, contract disputes and contract litigation. In June 1994, Neil J. Hamburg started his own private practice and, a year later, with his college and law school classmate, James P. Golden, formed Hamburg & Golden, P.C. with the intention of providing a more intimate and informal environment than that of larger law firms, while providing the highest quality of legal representation. Jim retired in May, 2021 and Neil has continued the practice as Hamburg Law Group. Hamburg Law Group is a first rate team of skilled trial lawyers, who practice at the highest level of the profession. Alpa Patel has worked together with Neil for years and they have tried and won many cases together as a litigation and trial team.
